Advocacy
BONHATA is Bonaire’s leading advocate speaking on behalf of the private sector. We currently hold majority power and are therefore recognized by external stakeholders as the voice of the hotel and tourism industry. The larger BONHATA’s membership base, the more powerful our voice for representation.

The collective interest of our members is protected and promoted through participation, education and lobbying to influence proposed legislation. Our organization works as closely as possible with government agencies such as TCB, OLB, and other organizations such as STINAPA to represent the industry’s best interest.

As a partner of the “Tourism Corporation Bonaire”, BONHATA has significant input into TCB’s marketing strategies that will be of benefit to our members.

Data & Business Information
It is critical for everybody’s success that we make use of a shared knowledge base with current and reliable information. BONHATA compiles a broad range of information that can assist you with planning marketing activities, inventory, staffing, scheduling etc.

The information includes tourism performance data as well as a whole array of the latest legislation and tax changes. For hotel and resort members we also offer access to STR reporting.

Networking Opportunities
BONHATA aims to organize networking events to allow members to meet, interact, and connect with each other. By attending these events you have the opportunity to expand your professional as well as your social network.

Education
BONHATA organizes and sponsors various workshops, trainings and seminars that focus on the most vital issues pertaining to tourism. These workshops, trainings, and seminars is an opportunity for our members and their employees to work on their professional development.

Committees/Task Force
BONHATA organizes many tourism related committees and task forces. We offer our members the opportunity to actively participate in one of our committees or task forces and be a part of joint projects, find solutions to common problems, be better informed, and to make a difference.

Voting Rights
All members of BONHATA are eligible to serve in BONHATA’s board of directors by registering for the bi-annual election.

Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association
Eligible for CHTA membership and/or board position.
