🔹 BONHATA Shares Hospitality Sector Updates During Joint Q1 Tourism Update
BONHATA was proud to participate in the first quarterly Bonaire Tourism Update for 2026, organized by Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) in collaboration with Bonaire International Airport (BIA) and the Harbor Master (OLB). The event was held at Van der Valk Plaza Resort Bonaire.
The session brought together stakeholders from across Bonaire’s tourism and business community to share updates, discuss current developments, and look ahead at the opportunities and challenges for the remainder of 2026.
During the presentation, BONHATA CEO Veroesjka de Windt shared updates on the current state of the hospitality sector and highlighted the importance of balanced, year-round tourism that supports both Bonaire’s economy and quality of life. Attention was also given to attracting diverse, high-value visitors and strengthening Bonaire’s connectivity with key tourism markets.
BONHATA also shared several advocacy efforts and initiatives from the first quarter of 2026, including ongoing discussions surrounding airlift development, the WOB request related to the visitor entry tax, meetings with the new commissioner, and activities focused on strengthening collaboration within the tourism sector through networking, professional development, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
The joint presentation further included updates on tourism performance figures, airport and cruise developments, TCB’s marketing activities, and future initiatives focused on sustainable growth, infrastructure improvements, and economic diversification.
